Sheaffer-Skrip-Turquoise-woda

Sheaffer Slovenia

I really believe most writers have actually quirky writing practices, and I’m no exception. I love to write my first draft manually, and I also utilize a tremendously particular kind of report and ink, in a Sheaffer fountain pen I happened to be offered as an award. It’s engraved “Teacher of the season, 1983.”

I adore this pen as it has a really fine tip, which is useful with my rather cramped handwriting. I prefer Skrip cartridge ink in “peacock blue” because it dries immediately in the page. If you’re left-handed, you understand why this is really important. I’ve destroyed many a sleeve, dragging it through damp ink.

Whenever I was very youthful, I found some old documents of my mother’s from university, and she used this exact same color ink. Therefore it needs to be during my blood.

But there’s tragic news for people enthusiasts of Peacock Blue. Because, okay, they nonetheless make the ink therefore still appears the more or less exactly the same. However they changed the name to turquoise. What’s up with that? Peacock-blue is evocative. It’s intimate. It means some thing. Turquoise is simply a color.
