APPEARANCE
This Pilot Elabo seems like the Falcon. It's a black resin human body, round, with dull, a little tapered finishes. The finial is black colored, matching other human body. The part is also black, and tapers to the nib. As I stated in my own Falcon analysis, total, the look of the pen is quite classic, before you start to see the nib! The trim is rhodium and appears great against the black resin human anatomy. NIB & OVERALL PERFORMANCE

This nib is a rhodium-plated 14K silver nib. The extra-fine is extremely slim and tines tend to be long and narrow out towards tip. This has an individual slit and breather opening. The nib is engraved with several details, including 14K-585, Pilot, and SE. You have the same hooded, arched shape as on the Falcon. It is rather interesting!

Considering the fact that it really is an extra-fine nib, you can expect it to be rather good and provide some feedback, but i did so in addition discover nib slightly scratchy. It had been interestingly damp for such a fine range. With regular writing, drying out times were around 30 seconds. With moderate to modest pressure, the nib might be "flexed" to its maximum, but I'd to pay attention to pace so as to perhaps not dry the feed. Even though used to do find a way to dry the feed by applying an excessive amount of stress too fast, the ink would pick up quickly. The flexed outlines are very wonderful - the nib pay a wet line, which made inks shade very well and assisted sheens stick out.
The nib performed effectively. It's not a real flex nib, nonetheless it features a great, bouncy feeling, and never much stress is required to attain range difference. AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
The video is straightforward adequate to use. The area isn't outstanding, however it doesn't bother me personally. It really is a lightweight pen so there isn't much that is required from part. Unposted, the pen is very light, and somewhat from the slender part. It's balanced, even though it's light. The cap does post by rubbing plus it does feel secure. I do not find it uncomfortably heavy once published, neither is it top-heavy, however for ultimate control with using force into nib, I prefer to utilize it unposted.
POSITIVES & CONS
TOTAL

The Elabo is brought in by JetPens, but you can anticipate it to appear like and perform like a Falcon. I must say I enjoy using these nibs. Initially, i did not actually "get" the charm, but having utilized the soft-fine and smooth extra-fine, we completely appreciate using all of them now. They may be rather light, user-friendly, and a pleasant foray into springy/semi-flex nibs.
