Cross Selectip Pens
My preferred pen is the superb Cross Selectip rollerball. Unfortunately, all but two of the Cross pencils that simply take this refill (and I’ve got a BUNCH) require you to uncap it to use it. Only the diminutive Cross Click, that will be also small for my hand, together with Cross Edge, that I discover impossible to open up with one hand, operates without a cap. I’m seeking a pocket pen I'm able to run with one hand – either push-button or twist – which takes the Cross Selectip rollerball refill. Does other people make one? Many Thanks, Gary
The new Ti Arto Kickstater project from Big tip Design promises to allow for 200+ refills would-be perfect nonetheless it, too, is a capped pen. Therefore, we seek out the Karas Kustoms RETRAKT and somewhat refill hacking to fix your condition. The RETRAKT comes in aluminum and brass and is a wider barrel pen human anatomy, similar in width to a Sharpie permanent marker so should feel very substantial into the hand. I personally use and aluminum barrel variation that is weighty but can be exposed and closed with one-hand. My hubby has a heavier model with a brass grip section if you need something much more significant. Prices for the RETRAKT start at .
When you buy a Cross Selectip rollerball refill, it comes with some plastic cap. Keep this! It is the key to my little hack. Though we suspect a rubber band or sequence could possibly be utilized as a substitute. I slice the broad part off and utilized about 1/8″ or 3mm associated with plastic sheath as a spacer between your foot of the refill and spring to deliver much more length to your refill barrel for the springtime traveling along. I also necessary to shave a little bit of the nubs off the blue cap so that you can match the barrel of this RETRAKT. You will probably find more synthetic is better (or only a little less) but there is however more than enough kept through the limit to experiment quite.
This final image shows the Cross Selectip rollerball refill fully extended, with my little plastic mod in addition to spring inside. Voila! As Tom at Goldspot Pens wants to tease, I’ll hack any pen and any refill.
